A good, reputable booking agency can save you a tremendous amount of time and trouble in your search for entertainment. Best of all, we can save you money -- and in most cases our services are absolutely free.

Not every band is right for every party. A small band can get drowned out by a large crowd in a big room. A large band can overwhelm both the crowd and the room. Some bands have appropriate sound systems and stage lighting for any event; some don't. Some bands have performed for years, can handle any situation and any crowd, and always get rave reviews. Some perform sporadically, are inflexible, and have a constantly revolving set of players.

A good agent knows these things.

Will the band arrive on time and set up before your guests arrive? Do they need a stage and a dressing room (or rooms)? How long are their breaks? Will they dress appropriately for your event? Will they learn a song or two just for you? Do they have good-quality PA gear and effective stage lights? Do they take requests? Will they do an encore? Does the venue have enough power for the band's equipment?

A good agent knows these things.

If the band's bus breaks down 200 miles from your party, or the lead singer gets the flu, will you be able to find a replacement in four hours? A good agent can.

If you have a party with an age range from 16-86, can you find entertainment that everyone will enjoy at some point during the evening? A good agent can.

Every agent knows the typical horror story: a bride booked a band because the singer was a bridesmaid's cousin -- and the band would play for a few hundred bucks. While the ceremony was occurring in the next room, the band started setting up and the sound-check drowned out "I do." The guests wore tuxes and evening gowns; the band wore t-shirts and jeans. On their first break, the band went through the buffet line. Several musicians brought their girlfriends, who also chowed down. They started drinking during their second set. They forgot to learn the bride's first dance song, and they played a song the groom hated because, well, they were running out of material.

When you book entertainment through us, you'll get only responsible, high-quality entertainers who have proved themselves at countless events over many years, and you will get peace of mind.

In most cases, our service is free to you, because we are paid a commission by the bands we book. And in most cases, we don't mark-up the bands' prices to cover our commissions. That is, if you call the XYZ Band directly, they will quote you the same price as we will. We maintain it's better to call us for many reasons:

the XYZ Band might be a bad fit musically for your event;
the XYZ Band might be inappropriate for the venue;
the XYZ Band might have recently replaced band members or have a bad reputation for lateness, long breaks, etc.;
the XYZ Band might charge more than you really need to spend;
if the XYZ Band needs to cancel at the last minute, we can find a replacement.

In addition, we can discuss the totality of your event: Along with a band, perhaps you'll need a harpist during dinner, or an Elvis impersonator or karaoke during the band's break. Regardless, we are always happy to help you plan your event and get the right entertainment at the best price.
